Vehicle Fleet
MSI boasts a fleet of 16 light transit vehicles which enable us to transport individuals to and from programs and activities 6 days per week. The majority of the vans were donated to MSI, or are leased from the Geauga County Board of DD. This Fall, MSI will be receiving its 3rd and 4th grant vans which are obtained through ODOT’s Specialized Transportation Project Program.
Keeping this fleet moving are Transportation Coordinator, Jessica Baxter and Mechanic, Dave Turner. Jessica works with Managers, Laura Townsend and Deb White and QA Director, Theresa Lynn to route all of the individuals transported in the MSI programs. Jessica and Marlies Gibson provide radio/dispatch coverage from 6:30 am until 5:00 pm M-F. Jessica works with Dave to schedule regular maintenance, repairs and inspections for all vehicles, as well as emergency response coverage as needed.
All of the MSI light transit vehicles have been re-striped with MSI colors and logos. Don’t be surprised if you see an MSI van on the road, as we are the largest transportation provider within Geauga County!
