MSI to Submit Proposal for Capital Grant

MSI Seeks Two New Light Transit Vehicles.

Metzenbaum Sheltered Industries, Inc. (MSI), which is a private non-profit corporation, intends to submit a proposal for a capital grant under the provision of 49 USC Section 5310 of the Federal Transit Act to provide transportation service for the elderly and disabled within Geauga County.  The grant proposal will request two 14 passenger light transit vehicles.

It is projected that 25 individuals who are elderly and/or disabled will use the vehicles 6 days per week for 52 weeks for various activities, including transportation to and from various vocational, day program and community outing locations.

MSI invites comments and proposals from all interested public, private and para-transit operators including taxi operators, for the provision of transportation service to the elderly and disabled within our service area.
